Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Perry.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am committed to self awareness, personal empowerment and faith building.

I do this as an author and by creating and participating in events, workshops and conferences. I am especially committed to issues that impact girls and women and created an empowering line of children’s books that foster esteem, ability and awareness. Hannah the Great Books (inspired by my daughter, Hannah Alexandria). We recently joined the NO BULLYING platform and released a children’s book that encourages acceptance and kindness. It is my desire that this book is in every classroom and home.

I am also very proud to sponsor a sister through Women for Women International which has helped more than 462,000 marginalized women in countries affected by war and conflict. They serve women in 8 countries offering support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency.

Writing for me initially started out as an outlet for things I was experiencing as a child that I could not talk to anyone about. Writing is therapy and also a highly effective manifestation tool. In my Pen Your Story workshop, I teach the importance of Conceptualization (vision), Development (writing the plan) and Execution (manifestation).

My audience is women who want to move forward in their lives in a measurable way.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Has it been a smooth road? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The road has been full of challenges, lessons, adjustments, readjustments. Considerations. Reconsiderations. The road has been straight and clear at times and a windy, spiraling, blurred thunderstorm at other times.

What has been a central salient theme along my journey is sheer stubborn unshakable confidence that I am on my path and that path is tailored designed for me and that the Creator of the Universe and the creator of my being, has my back. That is a POWERFUL acknowledgement and a glorious space to live in.

That does not mean the road will always be smooth, it does however mean that the road will usher me where I need to go and where I am going.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with and Hannah the Great Books – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am known to be a truth seeker. I champion for the greater good, God-consciousness and awareness. I believe that in order to be our absolute best, we have to know who we are and know what we are purposed to do. We are a created people. If we were created, we have a Creator and the Creator of a thing, has the instructions for the thing.

Helping people to see that, connect with that, accept that is my life’s joy.

My I AM workshops are powerful wake up calls and I share life letters and light bulb moments on my blog, I AM Perspectives.

I am especially proud of my children’s line of books, Hannah the Great Books, Building girls from the inside out”. It is my joy to see the light come on in a little girl’s eyes after she is told over and over again, that she is beautiful, talented, special and created for something extraordinary.

I also have a PURSE POWER initiative every year where I collect gently used purses full of personal hygiene items that are distributed to homeless women. Nothing is more important to a woman’s dignity that having the ability to properly care for her body.

What sets me apart from other authors and speakers is that I am bone honest and transparent. I do not have any secrets. I do not have any embarrassments that I cannot openly share. I use all of my experiences to reflect the lessons in the journey. The mess that becomes messages. I do not ever want people to think “it” whatever that is for them is going to be easy. Nice, Pretty. In a cute box with a bow on in it. No, life gets complicated. Stuff hurts. We get shot on the front line of living. We fall down and sometimes fall out BUT we have the ability to garner strength from challenges. We are formidable, We are not punks. We can overcome. We will overcome if we are plugged into overcoming power!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future is to continue to share the empowering messages through my books, workshops and other ventures.

I am particularly excited about my involvement with Women for Women and I am looking forward to doing more with the organization and I want to make PURSE POWER a national/global effort.

I am in dire need of a publicist/manager/someone to assist with moving all of this forward.
